Hollywood Shorts is a monthly screening program that celebrates outstanding achievements in American and international short filmmaking and animation. Hollywood Shorts comes to the Ford for three outdoor summer screenings on The Zev: Tuesdays, August 14, September 11 and October 9. Attendees can grab popcorn or something heartier at the Ford Terrace Café before kicking back to enjoy an evening of the best film shorts under the Hollywood stars. Stay after the screenings for a brief Q&A with the filmmakers.

This award-winning film has screened in more than 60 festivals and received 22 awards, including the Grand Prize at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and the Best Animated Short at the Newport Beach and Sydney Film Festivals.

The link between evil and the famed Santa Ana winds, extremely dry down-sloping winds in Southern California supposedly responsible for a tense, uneasy, wrathful, mood among the people of Los Angeles. This art-film/documentary hybrid has screened in 17 major film festivals across the globe, including SXSW, Raindance, Sitges, London, Slamdance and Guadalajara.

Faced with an emergency situation, a group of young Black and Latino friends carefully weigh the pros of calling the police. Recipient of the Special Jury Award at Sundance 2018, Emergency won Best Short Film at SXSW, Seattle Intl Film Festival, Chattanooga Film Festival and BendFilm Festival. The film is a finalist for the HBO Short Film Award at the 2018 American Black Film Festival this summer.
