Ford Theatres ARTISTS Partnership Program

This page is intended for Los Angeles County-based independent artist, nonprofit organizations, presenters, independent producers and producing collectives interested in performing in the 2018 summer season at the Ford Theatres.

Each summer, nearly 40,000 Angelenos attend the Ford Theatres' eclectic summer season of music, dance, theatre and film events. The season celebrates the region by reflecting on stage the cultural and artistic diversity of the people of Los Angeles County. For more than 20 years, these events have been presented in partnership with LA County arts organizations and producers through the Artists Partnership Program.

Artists Partnership Program Process

The Ford Theatres Artists Partnership Program is a competitive process that provides independent artists, nonprofit organizations, presenters, producers or producing collectives the chance to co-present with the Ford Theatres in a historic 1,180-seat performing arts facility. Using a shared risk revenue model, participants chosen will receive preferred dates and access to our fully renovated venue, including lighting and sound equipment, production, marketing and box office support. There are no upfront fees to participate. Participants retain 80-90% of ticket sales and are responsible for bringing the proposed event to fruition at the Ford. Participants are also responsible for artist fees, production crew costs, and for executing targeted marketing efforts to reach and expand their audiences.

The application process has been redesigned for the 2018 summer season to include a Letter of Intent (LOI), followed by a full application invitation. This new format was created to make it easier for artists and producers to participate, increase the number of applicants, and help bring new artists and audiences to the Ford Theatres.

2018 Letter of Intent OPEN: May 8, 2017

2018 Letter of Intent CLOSE: June 12, 2017
