Ford Theatres Summer Season Partnership Program
This page is intended for nonprofit organizations, independent producers and producing collectives interested in performing in the 2017 summer season at the Ford Theatres.
Each summer, nearly 40,000 Angelenos attend the Ford Theatres' eclectic summer season of music, dance, theatre and film events. The season celebrates the region by reflecting on stage the cultural and artistic diversity of the people of Los Angeles County. For more than 20 years, these events have been presented in partnership with LA County arts organizations and producers.
The Ford Theatres Summer Season is programmed through the Ford Theatres Partnership Program, a competitive application process open to nonprofit organizations, independent producers and producing collectives. Groups selected through the program co-present through a shared risk/revenue model, receive marketing, front of house and production support, and have access to skill building opportunities.

Owned by the County of Los Angeles, the Ford Theatres are run through a partnership between the County of Los Angeles, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Ford Theatre Foundation. The Ford Theatres Partnership Program is a competitive application process open to nonprofit organizations, independent producers and producing collectives. The program provides Los Angeles County performing and producing organizations with the following benefits:
- Access to preferred dates in a historic venue with artist and audience amenities
- Shared risk/revenue model that doesn't require you to pay an upfront cash deposit or a rental fee
- Inclusion in a broad marketing campaign targeting Los Angeles County residents and visitors
- Access to an experienced staff of professionals in production, marketing, publicity, box office and guest services
- Skill building opportunities and practical knowledge required to successfully present in a 1,180-seat performing arts facility
Application Open House
A Partnership Program Application Open House will be held in June to provide an opportunity to meet Ford staff, ask questions, network and receive more information about the program.
